Graham Fam Update!

Where to begin?!

Thomas and I are so blessed to have the life that we share. We are busy, busy with work, school, socializing, and sometimes sleep. Thomas is in the last few classes of his undergrad and will start Grad School at BYU in August. Yes! Grad School! I am over the moon proud of him. He will be going into the IP&T program which is Instructional Psychology and Technology.

BYU's program of IP&T is: a branch of study concerned with understanding the ideas, principles, and theories related to improving instruction.

Instructional Psychology and Technology deals with identifying and implementing improvements in instruction and understanding the principles that influence these improvements. IP&T applies these principles to solve instructional problems, which occur in educational settings, including public schools and universities, government, church, military, business, and industry.

We are so excited to start this new journey! As for me, work is going very well. I was recently promoted to a Trainer. I will be in charge of training new employees as well as helping fellow employees. This is my second job that gave me a training position. I think I like it! :)

Other than our work and school lives, Thomas and I are enjoying each other. We love to play board games (we have over 100!) We often catch ourselves going to local thrift shops to find the brand new and cheapest games donated. We get $40 games for under $5 more than should be allowed!

Schooling for me has been put on hold for a little while, but I'm itching to go back! Once Thomas is settled in with the grad program and his career (stay tuned!), I am wanting to go back to school OR become a certified Doula. Call me crazy! Because I think I am.

If anyone isn't sure what a Doula is, I will explain. There are a lot of definitions, but this is how I view the position and what I strive to be. A Doula is a supporter for an expecting mother. They typically help with birth planning, delivery, and after birth. This includes making sure the mother's wishes during labor are respected (such as Epidural, C-section, etc.). Other help is given after birth with helping care for the baby, cooking, cleaning, etc.

I've always been fascinated with children. For the longest time, I really wanted to work in the NICU of a hospital. I'm not saying that will never happen, but I will get my start a little faster!

In a later post, I will tell all about our exciting new business adventure we've jumped into! It's been in the works for quite some time, but she will officially be making her debut this summer!

All is wonderful with the Graham Fam! We love Utah (now that there's a little more sun than snow! Yeesh!), we love our neighbors, and we love our lives!

Thank you all for your amazing friendships, near and far. We appreciate all of the love and support that we receive.

Love,
J+T
