Engagement Photos

Thomas and I were blessed to have my wonderful cousin April Davis take our engagement photos a few weeks ago! We had a lot of fun traveling to St. George to hang out with April and her family! Here's a sneak peek! :)

Temple Dedication


Thomas and I also had the opportunity to view the Brigham City temple dedication broadcast while we were in St. George. I had never attended a temple dedication before, and I really loved that I was able to experience it with Thomas, April, and her husband Jon. Thomas, as we all know, is the most handsome man on Earth! Not only do I know that, but so does every three year old girl within a 500 mile radius. While we were in St. George, we helped babysit a three year old girl that is currently going through her "Sleeping Beauty" phase. Thomas and I were in the living room when the little girl got into "character" and firmly demanded: "Prince! Prince! Come kiss us!" Thomas's reaction was priceless! Needless to say, he did not meet her demands, but it was absolutely hysterical to witness! See! I'm definitely not the only one who knows how wonderful he is! :)


I have traveled to St. George four times within the last 5 months, and Thomas has so patiently accompanied me on two of those trips. The first trip we took together was to attend a baby blessing. The second trip was to take our engagements and bridals! I firmly believe that traveling together and being confined to my pathetic little Toyota has given us a lot of opportunity to learn more about each other and to grow as friends. We have had some of the best conversations while riding in the car together. I know we'll have a lot of fun road trips ahead of us!

Recently I have been dwelling on how blessed we are! Honestly, I could not have imagined the life of happiness and health that we have. Just read this!:  Thomas S. Elijah's SVT and Asthma Diagnosis

If you had told me that our goofy little boy, who was blowing up a balloon and watching it launch across the room, would have a cardiac episode just a few hours later, I wouldn't have believed you. In fact, I would have just told you that was impossible and would never happen. At least it could never happen to us. And then it did. On Sunday morning Elijah woke up with a little bit of a cough but was otherwise acting totally silly and normal. His breathing seemed a little labored but it was nothing too concerning. I was vigilant and a little concerned but decided to just keep a close eye on him. I gave him Claritin for his allergies and some cough medicine for his cough. He said he was feeling really hot and wanted to take off his shirt and asked me to rub his back. The Bishop's Wife

In January Thomas was called to serve as the bishop of our local congregation. He is a full time volunteer for the members of our local ward family. He will serve in this position for the next 5 to 7 years. When he was asked to come in for a meeting with one of our local leaders, they made sure I was able to attend. We suspected he would be asked to be the bishop but it wasn't a sure thing. I kind of knew it was coming and Thomas was in slight denial. 😏 They pulled me in first and asked me a few questions about Thomas. I was sooooo tempted to tell them he was a very busy man and that I never ever saw him, but I held my tongue. (Being the bishop can require a lot of time). I know they knew he was an amazing man, but they definitely needed to hear it from me that he was as golden as he seemed.
