The Honeymoon!

Thomas and I were lucky enough to honeymoon where he grew up! Callaway Gardens is a beautiful resort packed with a butterfly garden, a famous Christmas lights show, delicious food, and more! We were spoiled rotten!

After the reception, we sped off in a fancy car to our honeymoon destination. It was quite a drive, but we got to be alone and chat while still in our newlywed bliss.

We checked into the gorgeous villa...only to discover we had visitors! To our surprise, our villa had been given to another family. We awkwardly shut the door and went back to the office to explain why we needed another room. Luckily the unsuspecting tenants never saw us.

They gave us a new room and an upgraded. Our new place included a living room and fireplace. That was okay with us! When we got to the new villa, we discovered we had the key card to the old room, but not our new one. A frustrated Jenny called the office only to have my sweet Thomas take the phone to explain the dilemma. I was a little frustrated at this point. Thomas is so good. We waited another 30 minutes before a security guy gave us our new keys. Yikes!

We were exhausted. It was midnight by then. We just wanted to crash! It had been a long day.

The next day, we went to brunch and a beautiful restaurant that overlooks the mountains and valley. We stuffed ourselves silly with chicken and dumplings, biscuits, pot roast, and sweet potato fries! Delicious!

That night, we went to see the famous Fantasy in Lights. It was so much fun to walk around the same place Thomas worked while growing up. He ran into old friends and school teachers and got to show me all of the different places. The trolly ride for the show was so much fun! We were so cold, but luckily we had some delicious hot chocolate to warm us up.

That night we lit up the fireplace and snuggled up. It was wonderful.

The next morning we went to a breakfast buffet that was included with the stay. We again stuffed ourselves silly and prepared for our journey back home for Christmas!

That weekend was so relaxing and fun. I got to spend all of my time with Thomas for the entire weekend. I loved being near him every minute, morning and night.

Not to get too mushy, but Thomas is the sweetest, most caring man! He spoils me rotten and treats me like a princess. I don't know how I got so lucky, but he is definitely the best decision I've ever made! I am so excited to spend the rest of my life and eternity with him!
