Surprise Anniversary: Midway, Utah
Date: December 19 th -21 st , 2013 Location: Zermatt Resort, Midway, Utah Thomas and I arrived at the resort after weathering a heavy snow storm. We had a bit of a scare on the way up the canyon, but arrived safely. Thank goodness for Jeeps and 4-wheel drive! Thankfully, the turtles were safe, as well. We got Subway sandwiches for dinner and breakfast snacks at a gas station so we didn't spend a fortune on dinner at the resort. We'd save that for the next day! We checked into our gorgeous room and went off to explore the resort. We played chess (I won!), and explored the wellness center, relaxation rooms, library, and various amenities. We then got cheesecake at the cute little Bistro downstairs. Yum! We were then spoiled with a soft king size bed, down pillows, and real heating and air! The next morning, we slept in until 9 am.
