Brief Happenings
Friends and Family,
I am drafting an extremely long, detailed post right now, but have been too busy to finish it! While that is still in the works, I wanted to catch y'all up on the latest Graham happenings!
Thomas is very busy with school, clubs, leadership positions, church callings, and work. He is an English major with HR and Organizational Behavior focuses. He is a leader in SHRM (National Society for Human Resource Management), a BYU club. He is in charge of Student Development and helps students learn valuable skills that will help them with their future careers. Although it has been very time consuming, lots of great opportunities have arisen since becoming more involved with HR. He absolutely loves working with people and helping them succeed.
Thomas recently sent another missionary off for Lithuania! I love to see how happy Thomas is teaching at the MTC. His job is so rewarding. If you'd like to know more about what he does, you can learn more here!
What I love about Thomas is how dedicated he is to whatever he is called to do! With a million things on his to-do list every single day, he somehow gets it done. Many times, this involves late nights and early mornings. As an English major, there are a lot of books and papers to write. I love helping him in any way that I can! I am usually the editor of papers. Between school work and callings, it's amazing he has kept his sanity. Thankfully, this semester is coming to an end!
As for me, I am busy, busy working at the Plasma center! For awhile they were scheduling me for 43 hours a week! While the paychecks were nice, I wasn't. Just kidding! When I'm overly exhausted, I don't get grumpy, I get very silly. The donors think this is hilarious, although I don't think it's always the safest ;) My job is very rewarding but very exhausting. I'm running around the donor center for 8+ hours a day and always on my feet. Whenever I start to complain to myself or whine about how tired I am, I am reminded that I am very blessed to even have a job! Let alone an amazing one. Grifols, the European papa company of my company, Biomat, takes really good care of us. We were audited recently and they gave us all a nice fat bonus for doing such a good job! They recently gave us a $20 certificate for a free turkey, too! We, almost on a weekly basis, get gift cards, incentives, and high fives for how well our center is doing. They do a wonderful job when it comes to keeping us happy. I love how much they think of the employees. I've worked for companies before that have little to no regard for employee satisfaction and are very selfish. Thankfully Grifols is not that kind!
Thomas and I are excited to get prepared for the holidays! I recently put up Christmas decorations around the house. I made a wreath, filled up Santa with candy, added some silver garland, and golden shatter balls! Thomas wasn't too excited. At least I got all of these things at the dollar store! :)
I promise I'll get the extra detailed post of this last year put up! It may be after Christmas, but it's coming!
We love you all!
