Abbie Rae is TWO!

Time is flying! Abbie is almost 2 and I'm not handling it well. Maybe it's pregnancy hormones or big changes in the air. Fall is here and I'm so excited! But that means my tiny little chicken nugget is not even a toddler anymore but a big girl!

She says "I two!" already. Sings her ABCs and counts to ten. She has a huge vocabulary. In fact, she can speak full sentences. The other day I was struggling to put a lid on her cup. I asked her to take it to Dad to fix it. This girl straight up said "Daddy! Cup. Mommy broke." He asked, "Oh, did mommy break the cup?" and she gave a very enthusiastic "Yeah!" 🤣🤣🤣 I just can't even with her!

She doesn't walk anywhere, she struts. Sometimes it looks like she's dancing with each step! She loves music and dances anywhere and anytime. She'll wiggle her shoulders or shake her hips and yell "Dance!" 💃

A few months ago she started calling Lincoln "Bubba". Now she says Lincoln in her own little way and it's the cutest. Lincoln loves Abbie so much and is constantly asking to hold her hand. When we're going to bed he must have her hand. She's not always a fan of the idea, but he usually sneaks in a snuggle once she falls asleep.

She's got more sass than I even know what to do with. And she knows she rules the roost! I was just telling Thomas last night that she is definitely the boss. He pointed out that I was way more firm with Lincoln at this age. Oops!

Sometimes she'll insist on bringing her baby doll or a book or some random toy into the car. I'm often juggling 4+ children so her little trinkets are the least of my worries. I ask her to leave it inside and she expresses, in a very loud way, that she disagrees. 😳😝 Sometimes you have to pick your battles!

Abbie Rae is obsessed with all things baby. My belly, his clothes, when I take my medicine, etc. She says "Baby?" a hundred times a day. She's so curious. I know her world is going to be rocked really soon so I'm hoping the excitement sticks around! I'm sure she will smother him with love so I'll have to keep an eye on that! 🤪
