October: Jack and the Beanstalk
Friends and Family,
This is the more detailed post of October. We hope you enjoy :)
The month of October was a whirlwind of adventures and PLANNING! With the wedding coming up in just 14 days, we are still trying to get everything squared away. It is sneaking up on us fast!
This is going to be a long one, but it has a lot of exciting news, so stay tuned... :)
At the beginning of October, I took a short trip home to Georgia to help out a new friend. I'd met April at the beginning of the year after a series of blessings! April is actually my biological cousin that was adopted out of our family 27 years ago. I won't go into too much detail, but the first part of October was busy planning the trip that would help reunite April with my Aunt Marni. It was a beautiful experience that we will always remember.
As we were finalizing plans, a show called "The Buried Life" asked if they could come along on the trip to help film the reuniting. April was very excited and we are officially famous (just kidding!).
You can check out the episode with this link (skip to about 4:40 to see my debut!):
They named me incorrectly, unfortunately, but it was a fun experience nonetheless!

Thomas's boss from the MTC threw a halloween party early in the month. It was an absolute blast! Thomas and I had been contemplating what we should be for halloween for a few weeks (First World Problems). We researched many different options from Jack and Sally from "The Nightmare Before Christmas" to Ketchup and Mustard. On Wednesday, I made the trek over to DI (a thrift store) to find some sort of costume. Thomas and I decided the night before that we were going to be Jack and the Beanstalk! I frantically searched for all things green trying to come up with the perfect costume. I finally came across a large green shirt, a green place mat, a large green sheet, some tacky fake plants, and a few other odds and ends.
I hand stitched my "Beans" pouch, made a hat out of the placemat, and stitched on Thomas' leaves.
Thomas added the "Giant climbing down the beanstalk" detail at the last minute and I think it made the costume complete! He's so creative :)
Here is the end result! It was a blast :)
Thomas and I went on two double dates the month of October. They both consisted of pumpkin carving and hot chocolate/apple cider. It was a lot of fun going out with old friends of ours and getting in touch with our pumpkin carving sides again.
It's a tradition to go to "Cornbelly's" each year for Halloween. They have haunted houses (that I definitely did not participate in), a corn maze, tractor rides, slides and much more! I love October!
October was a wonderful month! We hope everyone's Fall season was full of fun!
Love,
Jenny and Thomas
