New Beginnings

Image
Forgive me for being so terrible at posting! As always, life has been very busy for this Graham family! We are running around crazy with going to school and work while still trying to see each other. Life has slowed down a bit, thank goodness! After over two years of being a Trainer at my software company CRS, I said farewell to my Little Caesars Pizza days. It was bittersweet but very much needed. I had so much fun traveling to stores and training clients on how to run a successful business. When I started at CRS, I was one of 8 employees. We have now grown to 40...and boy how things have changed! With these changes, the new road to my future has opened up! I have always loved the medical field and am currently a certified CNA, Phlebotomist, with CPR and First Aid training. I have plans to go back to school in August to become a Dental Assistant through the same college I got my CNA numbers. Thomas is busy with school and work. We were happy to discover that he doesn't hav...

Our Open House

Image
Our open house was a success! We were able to host (even in our tiny little home) a ton of good friends and family! We loved seeing people from Thomas' mission, from work, old apartment building, etc. See below for the full post! Thomas and I are spent time in Aurora, CO with family. We were able to visit the Red Rocks and go to the Hammond's Candy Factory! It was so much fun! We love spending time with family, relaxing, and eating delicious food! We chowed  down on some delicious chili Thomas' dad made. Yum! His nephews and niece are the cutest things on earth! They are polite, sweet, and very thoughtful. They are excited to give hugs goodnight and love high fives! Trace even asked politely if he could give me a high five while I was napping. Such a gentleman. FUNNY STORY! Thomas and I went to bed and around 30 minutes later I was awakened: "Where's the kid?!" "What kid?" "The kid!" "Are you on...

"An Attitude of Gratitude"

Recently I have been dwelling on how blessed we are! Honestly, I could not have imagined the life of happiness and health that we have. Just read this!:  Thomas S. Monson: An Attitude of Gratitude Thomas and I are so blessed to have a warm house, food to eat, a loving ward family, a wonderful education and progressing jobs and much, much more! As silly as it sounds, today as I was putting groceries away, I was annoyed with how much food was in the freezer! I was having trouble fitting everything into it... So silly. And then it hit me: BE THANKFUL, DUMMY! Oops... Sometimes the logical side of me will step in a humble me. I promise I'm not crazy! It's important for us to look around us and recognize just how blessed we are. Through a few heartbreaking tragedies of these last few weeks, I have been humbled. My grandmother is slowly passing away and I am so thankful my sister is there to help! She is my hero. My grandparents (both in their nineties!) require assistance in ...

The Honeymoon!

Thomas and I were lucky enough to honeymoon where he grew up! Callaway Gardens is a beautiful resort packed with a butterfly garden, a famous Christmas lights show, delicious food, and more! We were spoiled rotten! After the reception, we sped off in a fancy car to our honeymoon destination. It was quite a drive, but we got to be alone and chat while still in our newlywed bliss. We checked into the gorgeous villa...only to discover we had visitors! To our surprise, our villa had been given to another family. We awkwardly shut the door and went back to the office to explain why we needed another room. Luckily the unsuspecting tenants never saw us. They gave us a new room and an upgraded. Our new place included a living room and fireplace. That was okay with us! When we got to the new villa, we discovered we had the key card to the old room, but not our new one. A frustrated Jenny called the office only to have my sweet Thomas take the phone to explain the dilemma. I was a li...

The Wedding and Reception

Image
This post is a bit delayed, but I think Thomas and I have a good excuse! The weeks leading up to our marriage and the following weeks have been wonderful, but jam-packed with adventures and new beginnings! So much has happened in just a few weeks, so I'll just summarize! Thomas and I flew to Georgia on the 17th. My little brother tagged along as well. Because we all 3 had separate flights (no fun, right?) to Atlanta, we took one big trip up to Salt Lake early that morning. Thanks, Alan! Thomas had the first flight, then Jake, then me. As we checked in, we discovered Jake's flight left in 30 minutes and not in four hours as we had planned (they changed the flight times). Thank goodness we are punctual people! Thomas eventually boarded his flight and I waited. I waited a total of about 7 hours from the time we got to the airport to the time I took off. We are punctual and  frugal. One trip for three! ;) We landed in Atlanta and Thomas went to go stay with his sister whil...
