Happy Two Years to Us!
Two years already!
Thomas and I celebrated our two year anniversary this weekend! We were spoiled rotten by our good relative Lee.
We stayed at the Embassy Suites in downtown Denver. It was so nice! There was a huge living room, bathroom, and bedroom. We had a mountain view that was breathtaking! We were surprised with yummy treats when we got there! (They SAVED me when this pregnant woman woke up at 4 am starving!)
We went to a cute little pizza place called Pizza Locale. It was very unique and delicious! I'd seen a special on the Food Network about them, so we had to try it! Yum!
Thomas and I explored the 16th Street Mall just a few blocks away. It was really cool to see all of the different people downtown! They had random pianos set up that people were playing. Pretty neat! We got some hot chocolate and explored the different shops. We still had some Christmas shopping to do! Whoops! :)
Saturday night, we went to Mt. Fuji Hibachi grill. I've only been to a hibachi grill once ten years ago, so I was excited to go back again! We had delicious soup, salad, fried rice, noodles, shrimp, steak, and veggies! I was so stuffed. Our cook put on a good show!
At the other tables, we noticed the cooks were squirting water into everyone's mouths. I thought it was so funny to watch, but definitely didn't want to participate and get all wet. When they offered it to Thomas, he accepted. It wasn't until the cook yelled "SAKEEEEE" did I realize it was ALCOHOL and not water! Thomas got some in his eyes, so that's how he figured that one out! We were dying of laughter and making jokes the entire night! It was hysterical! Memories were definitely made!
The hotel had a really nice breakfast buffet each morning. It was delicious!
The hotel also had a pool, but I'm rather large these days, so we didn't go swimming! Haha!
Thomas and I enjoyed our little tradition of going to a nice hotel for our anniversary. We decided that we'll try to do that each year. It'll be different with our little bub next year, but we'll make it work.
Thomas surprised me with a sweet ring! Both my boys are April babies, so the diamonds represent them. My birthstone is a garnet for January. I was so excited! I think it is absolutely gorgeous!
It was wonderful to spend the weekend with my sweet boy!
Happy two years to us! :)
Love,
The Grahams
