Charles "Charlie" Marshall Graham 10/24/24 6:22pm 18.5" 5lbs 7oz Chocolate Marshmallow​ Graham Our sweet little s'more has finally joined us! Over the summer we took a road trip with family. As we were sitting around the campfire making s'mores together, one of our nephews joked we should name the baby Graham Graham. Another nephew said it should be Graham Marshmallow Graham. My sister in law suggested we have a chocolate thrown in there. Like Choc, Chuck, Charles! Charlie. I mentioned my grandfather's name was Marshall and that Charles Marshall sounded very handsome. I looked at Thomas, chuckled a little bit, and we both agreed that the name sounded really great. Our niece joked that we thought we were done having kids, but we just needed s'more! It all came together so perfectly. And that was when our little Charlie was officially named. Our very own little s'more! We are over the moon and so in love. Elijah Christopher Graham Born 1/8/2020 2:47 pm 7 lb 2 oz. 20 inches On Tuesday night, January 7th, I began having some pretty convincing contractions. Nothing was consistent so I stubbornly stayed home. I'd been in prodromal (false) labor since New Years Eve, so it was nothing new. At 9pm I had a sharp pain on my left side of my back. It felt like a pulled muscle. I continued to ignore it until I couldn't bare it anymore. So we went to the hospital. Me, Thomas, and my mom. Earlier that day we walked around Sam's and Walmart to help induce labor. I'd also woken up at 3am and couldn't go back to sleep. I deep cleaned the house that morning as well. It was a very busy and active day. I'd packed and unpacked and repacked my hospital bag a dozen times with my umpteen false alarms. Elijah's SVT and Asthma Diagnosis

If you had told me that our goofy little boy, who was blowing up a balloon and watching it launch across the room, would have a cardiac episode just a few hours later, I wouldn't have believed you. In fact, I would have just told you that was impossible and would never happen. At least it could never happen to us. And then it did. On Sunday morning Elijah woke up with a little bit of a cough but was otherwise acting totally silly and normal. His breathing seemed a little labored but it was nothing too concerning. I was vigilant and a little concerned but decided to just keep a close eye on him. I gave him Claritin for his allergies and some cough medicine for his cough. He said he was feeling really hot and wanted to take off his shirt and asked me to rub his back. He started to doze off a bit and seemed only slightly uncomfortable.  That was when I noticed some pretty severe retraction in his belly, chest and the base of his throat.
